About Me

I was born into the arts. My mother always made made sure I had supplies to keep my fingers (and my mind) busy exploring...discovering how a color looked beside or mixed into another. I never met an art supply I didn't love! About the cat part. We seem to draw strays like a magnet and we have 10 pigs dressed in cat suits at the moment. We love them all to pieces of course.

My interview is posted! Thanks Jean!

If you recognize my name...you know I was a focal bead artist in a former life. So. . . I've been out of the jewelry world for a while now and what happens?.......my name is thrown out there in print and online for all to see! Yes. . .I'm signing autographs. . .;-)

Check the link to see what my wonderfully beady. . .and wirey . . . friend, Jean Yates, jewelry designer, perfectionist and owner of http://prettykittydogmoon.com/ has been up to. She has a been published! Click link under the title to see her amazing new book:

Links - Inspired Bead and Jewelry Creations
http://www.amazon.com/Links-Inspired-Bead-Jewelry-Creations/dp/1600610161/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1198879933&sr=8-1

The book is a must have IMO. . . .she takes the ordinary and makes it precious! Ordinary rubber 'o' rings from the hardware store become 'art' in her hands. . . jump rings twirl and weave their way into patterns fit to wear to a grand ball at the castle! You'll look so good in this jewelry you'll be asked to sit by the King.

There is so much more to this book besides beautiful jewelry and photography. She provides CLEAR instructions complete with step by step photos to guide you along to success the first time out. It's also a fabulous gathering of info on techniques that the reader will use every time they get out their tools for a romp through their bead stash.

I'm honored to have my name mentioned in this book. Thank again and again Jean.

Hello there and thanks for stopping by. I hope to create a lively artspot for all paper art addicts . . . along with some other forms of art that seem to creep into my life on occasion. Altered anything is also a weakness. Just seeing the word 'altered' gets my blood pumping.

So...if you love all things paper and the other stuff that paper addicted artists 'hoard'. . .kick your shoes off, stay and while and share a story or two.
